About PlayRoadTrip.com

PlayRoadTrip.com is the road trip games helper: a free scoreboard and tracker for the classic games families already play in the car. No pen, no paper, no arguing about who saw the Montana plate first (okay, maybe a little arguing).

Why we made this

The real goal has nothing to do with license plates. It is to get everyone in the car looking up and talking to each other instead of disappearing into separate screens. A road trip is one of the rare stretches when a whole family is in the same small space with nowhere else to be, and we think that time is worth protecting.

So the mission is simple: help families connect, keep kids off their phones for a while, and turn a long drive into memories everyone actually keeps. Every backseat that erupts because someone finally spotted a yellow car, every grandparent pulled into a round of 20 Questions, every sibling truce called over who saw the cows first, is exactly the point. We want to spread that as far and as wide as it will go.

Pick a game, set up your car's seating, and give points to the seat that earns them. The License Plate Game tracks all 50 states on a real map, the Rainbow Car Game hunts a car of every color, and the Alphabet Category Game runs A to Z through categories like animals, foods, and cities. More games are on the way.

Built for the road

Everything runs right in your browser and is designed for car dashboard screens, tablets, and phones. Your game, scores, seating layout, theme, and language are saved on your device automatically and never expire. A refresh, a power cycle at the gas station, or closing the browser won't lose your progress.

Free, light, and private

No accounts, no downloads, no ads, no tracking. It's a fast little site that works offline-friendly once loaded, made so the whole car can play, from the driver's co-pilot to the third row.

Today we cover road trips across the United States; editions for more countries are planned. Buckle up.
