Count horses on your side of the road.
Split the car down the middle: left side versus right side. Your window is your territory.
Count every horse on your side of the road, calling them as you go (“three horses!”) and keeping the running total on your seat.
A point per horse. The classic rule: pass a cemetery on your side and all your horses are buried, score back to zero. The other side is encouraged to be insufferable about it.
Ponies are horses. Donkeys are two points, because they're better. A field too far to count precisely: make a claim and the car votes.
